Strange unfounded accusations across the forum.

Are you myopic Ian?

What have you  posted about McLeish's hidden agenda and Jake's right to be picked by ALL the coaches for a squad place ?

Eh ?

Strange and unfounded. Not proven either.
Whereas my concerns are there to be examined.

Don't worry about my complaint, coupled with your vindictive poll it will go in I promise.
Now just apologise to Jake and get rid of this diversion. I'll not reply to any other blathering from you - because I think between us we have ruined his big day.

Goodbye.

I welcome your complaint, please contact myself or one of the other members of the moderating team for details on how to do so and we will be glad to explain the procedure :)

Somehow i am sure that Jake's day wont be ruining be my post and my assumption that Macleish not a council of coaches picks his team.

Blathering Yours

Ian

I have to admit that the thought did cross my mind as well, but no matter the reasoning behind the decision the fact is that Jervis has has been scoring goals and playing well for the academy and reserves and is deserving of this opportunity.

I'm very interested to see how AMc handles the academy players from this point forward. Aluko and Krystian were two of Blues more promising scholars, and now they've been sold; a decision will soon have to be made on players such as Jared Wilson, who'll be 21 in a few days. I look forward to the continued development and eventual opportunities to come for some of the players who seem to have been around a few seasons now, like Mutch, Sammons, Jervis, McPike, and Preston. There's also more recent arrivals Bogle, Butland, Asante, Rowe, Timmins, Hronec, Kerr, Ntambwe... Hopefully there's a few that will eventually make the step up in the coming years.

Kyle almost all our Academy players have gone to lower leagues.

These are the players that Westley inherited.
The Academy that started from McLeish's and Westley's reign are not yet coming through. Thanks to Karren and Barry Fry we are about 10 years behind just about every club in the top 2 divisions. Southampton are ahead of us in terms of recruitment, training and futures.

Jake is one of the first of the new generation and I'm so pleased for him and blues.

To have a celebratory thread dragged down by sleazy conspiracy theories is sad and pathetic.

I'm not disagreeing, and i believe without reservation that Jake is deserving of this call up and in time I'm expecting much more; but I can't help what first entered my mind upon hearing the news. I may be a bit cynical, but i wouldn't say 'sad' and 'pathetic'.

I understand your point, and agree with your assessment on the academy's past, current, and future state (and the reasons behind it) but no matter who brought Krystian in, I PERSONALLY had very high hopes for the lad, and am more than a little disappointed that he never seemed to be given a proper chance, say, last season in the Championship.

All that aside, I once again would like to reiterate how pleased I am for Jake personally, and the academy players and personnel as a whole for this well deserved inclusion in the first team. Long may it continue! The more that make the step up the better.

Isn't there enough fodder in the transfer bucket to keep all of you satisfied. How about not hijacking this thread, and paying the lad some respect by doing so.

Jake Jervis......remember?????

Oh My God - the king of off-topic speaks.

Lets have 20 posts about attacking you now eh ?

English may not be your first language, but I did say I was going off topic. Such courtesy may not be familiar to you when you hijack threads willy nilly. But make an effort in reading.

Jake - well done lad.

Ignore the comments about why you made the squad by the losers.

Just show them **thumbup

Don't get all defensive it wasn't just you.

So happy that AMc put him on, and he made an instant impact by creating the turn-over and subsequent break away where Cahill picked up a yellow for fouling Bowyer on the edge of the area.

Well done, Jakey!

I can see AM's mind working here.

O'Shea gets on in the first match within minutes of joining the squad almost.
Jake similar.

I think in AM there is this old fashioned paternalism where you throw your son into the deep end when you're teaching him to swim.
- I think it's illegal now

Glad the lad got on... not just happy for Jake himself, but for the whole academy set up.

To see that if they perform for the Academy, they will get noticed, and that Eck has no problems throwing them into the mix, is a great sign for them.

Will Jake now be a player that's going to have to "win you over big time", like you stated Gardner would?

Who changed the wikipedia stats to show 1 appearance to 0 goals?

Those stats only show league appearances!
